Call for Workshop Proposals for 10th Anniversary BRC Conference

We invite you to submit workshop proposals for the BRC national conference.

Proposals can include skills trainings, political discussions and political education. What are the issues that black radicals need to discuss and strategize around to move our struggle forward.

Workshops will be held on Saturday only (June 21) and are two hours in duration. Presenters should plan for an interactive session.

Please, send a brief description of your workshop to Jamala Rogers at brcnatl@blackradicalcongress.org by April 30th.

There are some fundamental questions that need our principled dialog and debate at the upcoming anniversary conference. We will engage in lively discussion that helps to re-shape the BRC's character, direction and strategy for the next ten years.
What are the concrete conditions facing our people?
What is the current state of the Black Liberation Movement?
What is the current situation in the Black Freedom Movement; developments
among progressive social movements; and international struggles for justice & liberation?
What should the BRC look like as an organization to respond to the current crises of our people?
How do we fund an effective organization with independence and sustainability as guiding principles?
What are the fundamental sources of theory and methods of political education necessary for
Black radicals within the larger Black Liberation Movement and even larger Social Justice Movement?

Join us in St. Louis, MO on June 20-22, 2008!
